1. Overview
The NH Hickory Open is a friendly amateur golf event. By registering for or participating in the tournament, you agree to the following terms.
Your registration is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information.
2. Participation
Participants are responsible for their own conduct, equipment, and safety during the event.
This is a recreational tournament. Please play respectfully, follow course rules, and use good judgment.
3. Registration and Payments
Registration is not considered complete until payment has been received per the instructions provided at registration.
Refunds, cancellations, or changes are handled according to the refund policy in effect at the time of registration.
4. Event Changes
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the event, including:
- Schedule adjustments
- Format changes
- Pairings or divisions
In the event of cancellation, refunds (if any) will be issued in accordance with the refund policy in effect at the time of registration. We will communicate next steps as clearly as possible.
5. Results and Public Information
Tournament results may be published, including participant names, scores, and standings, in accordance with the privacy selections you made during registration.
6. Photography
Photos may be taken during the event and shared on the website or in related materials to document and celebrate the tournament. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the event organizer in advance.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward fellow players, club staff, and course personnel. The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the event for unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, intoxication, or violation of club rules, without refund.
8. Assumption of Risk
Participation in golf and related activities involves inherent risks. These risks include but are not limited to errant golf balls, weather conditions, uneven terrain, course hazards (water, sand, cart paths), and the conduct of other participants.
By participating, you represent that you are in sufficient physical condition to play golf safely, you assume all risks of injury or property loss, and you release the organizers, Lake Sunapee Country Club, and any sponsors from liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Responsibility
The NH Hickory Open is an informal event organized for enjoyment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the organizers, Lake Sunapee Country Club, and any sponsors are not responsible for:
- Personal injury
- Lost or damaged property
- Any issues arising from participation in the event
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Hampshire.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
